(Iowa) -- Iowa's Deputy Secretary of Agriculture is back from a trade mission to Asia.
Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Grant Menke was part of a delegation that recently traveled to Taiwan and Japan on a trip coordinated by the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The delegation included representatives from Iowa's meat production, grain, and meat processing industries. The goal of the trade mission was to boost trade development, improve partnerships, and expand export markets.
Taiwan is Iowa's 13th largest trading partner, and Japan is the state's fourth largest export destination.
