According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the "best hole-in-the-wall restaurant" in all of North Carolina is Country Deli. This Kill Devil Hills staple is a must-try for all sandwich lovers, but it sweet treats are also sure to satisfy. Country Deli, which has a 4.9 star rating on Google and over 650 reviews, is located at 1900 S. Croatan Highway.

"Country Deli, located on the state's Outer Banks line of barrier islands, is famous for its overstuffed sandwiches — which are so big that customers often save half for later.
