(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha man's been sentenced to 26-years in federal prison, in a meth case. Omaha Police say 32-year-old Joel Olechoski bought 13-pounds of meth in December of 2022. The buy was a controlled drug-buy, set up by law enforcement. Police say when Olechoski realized what was happening, he tried to ram his car into a squad car, then put it in reverse and drove into a concrete barrier, tried to run, but was caught.
Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. sentenced Olechoski to 312 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Olechoski’s release from prison, he will begin a 5-year term of supervised release. Olechoski also was ordered to forfeit $33,743.36.
