According to a list compiled by Reader's Digest, the prettiest lake in all of California is Lake Tahoe. This lake was praised for its beautiful hiking trails and crystal clear waters.
Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about the most beautiful lake in the entire state:
"North America’s largest alpine lake, the gorgeous 100,000-plus-acre Lake Tahoe, is also California’s prettiest lake. And while Lake Tahoe does straddle the border with neighboring Nevada, about two-thirds of the shoreline rests in the Golden State.
