Lend A Helping Can

Lend a Helping Can raises money for 12 New England charitable agencies to feed the Needy and Homeless.

Work Continues To Ready Providence Pallet Shelter

The work continues to get the Providence pallet shelters ready to house the homeless this winter.

There have been several delays in opening Echo Village in Providence, but the project is in the final stages.

Officials say the remaining work includes utility hookups, installation of fire suppression systems and adding fire-retardant paint.

The House of Hope says once the final inspections are complete, certificates of occupancy can be issued, and people can move into the shelters.
