The Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years holiday travel period is underway, and the Omaha Airport Authority says more than 185-thousand travelers are moving in and out of Eppley Airfield this Thanksgiving holiday week, with Wednesday being especially busy.
Steve McCoy, the Airport Authority's Chief Strategy and Technical Officer, tells KFAB Radio News to allow extra time because of the high volume of passengers, plus the massive terminal and driveway construction project at the airport.
McCoy says Sunday at the Omaha airport is expected to be the busiest travel day of the Thanksgiving Holiday period.
