As she celebrates her 43rd birthday, Britney Spears is officially single, because her divorce from ex-husband, Sam Asghari, has been finalized.
TMZ reports that, according to new legal documents, Britney and Sam's divorce became final on Monday, December 2nd, Britney's birthday. The divorce was first filed by Asghari back in August 2023 after being married for 14 months, citing "irreconcilable differences" — the former couple was together for six years before tying the knot in June 2022.
Britney and Sam had a prenuptial agreement in place, which left Asghari with almost nothing, but according to TMZ, Spears paid his rent for several months after moving out.
Since then, both Spears and Asghari have moved on as Britney was dating her landscaper, Paul Soliz, on and off. And Sam is currently in a relationship with Brooke Irvine, who he has been seen cozying up to lately. Ashari was Spears' third marriage, following her brief relationship with Jason Alexander in 2004, and three-year marriage to Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons with (Sean Preston and Jayden James).
Most recently, Spears has been spending time with her son Jayden after reuniting following his move to Hawaii. A source told Page Six that "they have been spending a lot of time together," while another source told the outlet, "Britney is thrilled to have her baby back. Everything is moving in the right direction."
