Blake Shelton took the stage to surprise an unsuspecting audience at his bar in his Oklahoma hometown.
The powerhouse country star made an appearance at Ole Red in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where the seventh annual Thanksgiving show took place over the weekend with musical duo and former contestants on The Voice, The Swon Brothers. The crowd cheered as Shelton walked out on stage and shared a few words. A video of that moment was shared on Ole Red’s Instagram account. The Swon Brothers, made up of Zach Swon and Colton Swon, said in the comments that it’s their “favorite show of the year!! 🦃🦃🦃”
Shelton recently told PEOPLE that he and his wife, Bouquet artist Gwen Stefani, “go all out for Thanksgiving.” They gather their “hug family” with “a bunch of food,” and make enough stuffing to put leftovers in the waffle iron the next morning.
The Oklahoma-born country artist recently teased the next chapter in his music career with his latest single and music video, “Texas.” The song was written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr and Lalo Guzman, and produced by Scott Hendricks. It references George Strait’s classic country anthem, “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.” Shelton previously said in a statement that “Texas” sounded “different,” and he’s “always looking to push myself.”
