There's one California restaurant that opened in 2024 that is so spectacular that it was named among the best new restaurants in the country this year. Be it exceptional, delicious cuisine, unmatched ambiance, or a one-of-a-kind dining experience, something about this eatery landed it among the best in the U.S.
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the best new restaurant in California for 2024 is Kinme Omakase in San Diego. Other California restaurants that made the list include Burnin’ Shell in Los Angeles, BoujieMana in San Diego, and Paseo in Anaheim.
Here's what Yelp had to say about Kinme Omakase:
"With only 10 spots available at a long wooden counter, your 10-course meal is uniquely personal. During each of 2 nightly dinner seatings, Kinme’s chefs interact with guests in the handsome open marble kitchen, explaining the origins of each course as it’s prepared. Seeing them create each item is almost a theatrical experience, according to owner and creative director Shihomi Borillo. Dishes change almost daily, says Shihomi, and the entire menu is overhauled once a month to accommodate the most seasonal ingredients."
