There's one Texas restaurant that opened in 2024 that is so spectacular that it was named among the best new restaurants in the country this year. Be it exceptional, delicious cuisine, unmatched ambiance, or a one-of-a-kind dining experience, something about this eatery landed it among the best in the U.S.
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the best new restaurant in Texas for 2024 is Wicked Butcher in Dallas. Other Texas restaurants that made the list include Little’s Oyster Bar in Houston, Katami in Houston, and Casa Pollastro in Dallas.
Here's what Yelp had to say about Wicked Butcher:
"A twin sister to the original Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth, this downtown outpost serves elevated American comfort food with an emphasis on beef. Complimentary popovers the size of a baby’s head, paired with rosemary butter, signal the start of a hefty meal. And with 32 ounces of dry-aged beef, the Tomahawk Steak is the menu’s crown jewel. A hummus appetizer is beefed up with braised tenderloin and chili oil, while a bevy of butcher cuts, from a Cowboy Ribeye to Japanese A5 Wagyu, round out the meatier selections."
