Sheila Johnson Has Lost Her Mind over Caitlin Clark

BET co-founder, billionaire business woman and Washington Mystics owner, Sheila Johnson has taken exception to TIME magazine naming Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark as their “Athlete of the Year” and she did not hold back with her comments. Doug just cannot understand why so many folks want to make it about race and refuse to let Clark have her well-deserved recognition.

Doug Gottlieb: “Caitlin Clark is Taylor Swift-like in her overall popularity and it’s my job to talk about and have a unique opinion on the biggest topics of sports. And it was never Cynthia Cooper, it was never Elena Delle Donne, it was never Kelsey Plum, it was never...pick the star nobody cares about. They care about her. It’s our job to cover her. She was a thing, she was a happening. The biggest story of the Olympics was the fact that she wasn’t in the Olympics. People have just lost their mind on this thing (and) Sheila Johnson (is) one of them.”
