(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man is under arrest and facing charges after a violent kidnapping.
The Des Moines Police Department says 44 year-old Miguel Quintero is being charged with kidnapping his girlfriend on Monday. Investigators say Quintero assaulted the victim, tied her up, forced her to write goodbye letters to her children, and fired a gunshot into the floor near her. He's now in custody facing multiple felony charges, and the victim is safe and recovering from her injuries.
