The Causeway Bridge is closed in both directions after multiple wrecks this morning as dense fog hovered over Lake Pontchartrain.
Fox 8 reports as many as 40 to 50 vehicles may have been involved.
The lingering fog also prompted the closure of the westbound lanes of the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
