American Airlines Blames Vendor For Ground Stop

In an unexpected disruption on Christmas Eve morning, American Airlines requested a a ground stop for all its flights. Thankfully, as of 7:10 A.M. the ground stop had been lifted. The airline attributed the halt to a technical issue affecting its operations.

An official statement from the airline read “Our teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” .

Details about the nature of the technical issue or the number of flights impacted were not immediately available. But American Airlines later blamed a "vender technology issue" for the delays. Passengers are advised to check for updates on their flight status through the airline's website or customer service.
