A List: Fashion That People Hope Stays In 2024

We all see people wearing certain clothing or sporting specific styles that make us roll our eyes, and a new Reddit post has people calling them out. It asks, “What is a fashion trend currently ‘in’ that you’re already over?” It seems a lot of people have strong opinions on this topic, as more than 7-thousand responses have come in.

These are the trends Redditors definitely don’t want to see cross over into 2025:

  • "The barrel jeans have got to go. They're the ugliest effing things I've ever seen.”
  • "Eyebrows that are brushed upwards."
  • "Fake freckles. Be done with it."
  • "Tucking your sweatpants into your pulled-up socks."
  • "The broccoli cut. Please stop. Please stop with getting a perm, bro, and then topping off the perm with a bowl cut."
  • "Colorful pimple stickers shaped like stars, hearts, etc.”
  • "Despite being the personification of poor life choices, the mullet and mustache combo somehow refuses to die."
  • "Those massive, chunky sneakers that look like they're from a sci-fi movie. Why do my shoes need to look like they can survive on Mars?"
  • "'Micro shorts.' Babe, that's panties made of a slightly thicker material."
  • “Cropped sweaters and jackets — If it's cold enough for a sweater, I don’t want my midriff hanging out in the elements."
  • "Crocs. I thought they were hideous when they first came out almost twenty years ago, and they've never gone away."
  • "Low rise jeans."
  • And..."Mom jeans. Make them go away."
  • "Pants unbuttoned and unzipped exposing undies or bikinis because the fabric is folded over."
  • “Pajamas. Everywhere I look, Target, Nordstrom, Starbucks, sports games. People are wearing PAJAMAS and SLIPPERS.”
  • "That hairstyle all women seem to have. Parted down the middle, curls flowing down each side. It's like I woke up in a Hallmark movie."
