The American Red Cross is providing assistance to over 30 residents displaced by a fire at Fox Run Apartments in Clifton Park. The fire broke out early on Christmas Day (December 25) in an electrical utility room on the first floor of the apartment complex. Firefighters responded to the scene at 2:45 a.m. and quickly extinguished the blaze. However, the fire caused significant smoke damage, leading to the evacuation of 29 adults and three children, along with several pets.

According to NEWS10 ABC, the fire was contained to the electrical room and an adjacent room, but the entire electrical panel needs replacement, which could take months. As a result, residents cannot return to their apartments until repairs are completed.

The Times Union reported that one person was treated for smoke inhalation. Displaced residents have been temporarily relocated to nearby hotels, with the apartment management company covering their accommodation costs. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team, with initial indications suggesting electrical issues.
