When Donald Trump won his first term as President in 2016 it was a landmark moment as the country decided to elect someone outside the political world to the nations highest office. While Trump was making his first move into the White House his lack of political experience showed, but now as he gets set for his second term all those kinks should be ironed out. WOR White House correspondent Jon Decker spoke with the WOR Morning Show about Trump and how he is better prepared for his second run in the oval office.
“Now he has four year's experience, having been president before, he’s chosen people who’ve worked in the first administration,” Decker tells guest host Rory O’Neill. “They can hit the ground running unlike what happened in 2017.”
Decker believes that the experience will lead to swift action: “When he is sworn in January 20th its going to be a busy day, a busy first 48 hours, with a slew of executive actions.”
