The Houston area is being hit by a second tornado outbreak in three days, and it has turned deadly.

Manvel Mayor Dan Davis posted to social media that, "I’ve received confirmation that tragically, one life was lost due to the tornado/storm coming through Brazoria County. Please join me in praying for all those impacted!" This was after Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta confirmed to KTRH That a twister touched down near the Liverpool area and that multiple homes had been damaged.

Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough has confirmed to KTRH that a tornado did touch down near Porter Heights on Saturday. The county’s office of emergency management has been activated and officials are en route to looking at damage.

There have also been reports of tornadoes in Galveston County Saturday afternoon, near the Dickinson area. We are told that there are downed trees and power lines, and there is a power outage in the area. There has also been damage to trailers in San Leon and Bacliff. Some of those trailers may have been destroyed.

Harris County meteorologist Jeff Lindner posted the following on Facebook:

”The severe and tornado threat has ended for the metro area.

NWS surveys will be ongoing the next couple of days to determine the intensity and paths of what appeared to have been 3 defined tornadoes that impacted the region.

Thus far there has been 1 fatality and 4 injuries with the Brazoria, Galveston, Chambers County storm/tornado.

The Porter Heights to New Caney tornado initial response is 10 injured and at least 80homes with damage.”
