With 2025 quickly approaching, hundreds are preparing for polar plunges to celebrate.
Those wanting to take part in the annual tradition have a number of options.
The Newport Polar Bears club will be sponsoring an event on Easton's Beach at noon on New Year's Day.
The plunge into the Atlantic costs 25 dollars and will benefit A Wish Come True, which helps grant wishes for severely ill children between the ages of 3 and 18.
Other plunges include the Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics at Scarborough Beach, the Islander Plunge at Second Beach and the New Year's Day Dip in the Bay at Barrington.
