A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in California on Monday (December 30), according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was centered in Fort Bidwell at a depth of 3.4 kilometers (about 2.1 miles). The USGS said it received zero reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.

The Fort Bidwell earthquake struck days after a 6.7-magnitude earthquake was reported on the Kuril Islands on Friday (December 27), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 162.6 kilometers (about 101 miles).

The Kuril Islands earthquake was reported hours after a 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Alaska last Thursday (December 26), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in McCarthy at a depth of 8.1 kilometers (about five miles).

The Alaska earthquake struck hours after a 3.0-magnitude earthquake was reported in California last Wednesday (December 25), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Clayton at a depth of 13.2 kilometers (about 8.2 miles).

The California earthquake struck two days after a 5.9-magnitude earthquake was reported in Cuba last Monday (December 23), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Guisa at a depth of 22.2 kilometers (about 13.8 miles).
