Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. is cancelling the drone show that was planned for the opening night of the World of Winter festival.
A show run by the same operator in Orlando had several drones fall from the sky, hitting and injury a seven-year-old.
The Federal Aviation Administration suspended the permit of Sky Elements Drones which will prevent them from holding shows.
The opening night celebration will still be held.
