Weather permitting, the annual First Light New Year's Eve fireworks display will take place in Provincetown this evening.
Officials say anyone planning to attend the festivities should check the Provincetown Town Hall Facebook page for updates.
The event features a low noise fireworks celebration over the harbor, launching from MacMillan Pier.
New Year's Eve revelers are reminded that local taxi companies are providing free rides to homes in P-Town, Truro, Wellfleet and Eastham from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 Wednesday morning.
