Summit County residents are encouraged to recycle their live Christmas trees.
Trees that have been stripped of lights, decorations, tinsel, and stands can be dropped off at select Metro Parks from now through January 31st.

On average, about a thousand trees are recycled through the program each year and turned into mulch for use throughout the park system.
