LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A person was found dead Thursday in lanes of the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles.
The body was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at 1:56 a.m. and the initial report was a body partially in the slow lane and right shoulder of the northbound Golden State Freeway at Broadway.
The gender and age of the deceased person was not immediately available.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 2:29 a.m. shutting down lanes 2, 3 and 4 for its investigation. Lanes were reopened about 5 a.m.
