The Shelby Whippets beat the Ontario Warriors, 68-59, at home Thursday in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.
Ontario jumped out to a 13-3 and Shelby trailed by as many as 13 points, before storming back to win.
The Warriors led 20-10 after 1 quarter, but Shelby took control in the 2nd quarter, outscoring Ontario 22-9, to take a 3 point lead into halftime. The Whippets edged the Warriors 16-15 in the 3rd period, and 20-15 in the 4th quarter to post the victory.
Braden Devito led Shelby with 22 points, 17 of those came in the 2nd half. Landon Foltz added 21 for the Whippets, which included 10 made free throws.
Ontario was led by Cardae Brown with 22 points and Trindon Flenoury with 19 points.
Shelby improved to 6-3 and 4-2 in the MOAC, while Ontario dropped their 6th game in a row, falling to 2-7 and 2-3 in the league.
