Canadian Creates Tiny Homes Attached To Bicycles

DW: "Welcome to Two Wheeled Trailer Park. First month of air for your tires is FREE!"

A Canadian man has invented a great solution for people who don’t have any place to get out of the cold. This summer, Ryan Donais got tired of seeing people sleeping outside and decided to do something about it. He’s building small modular homes attached to bicycles that can travel on Ontario’s bike lanes if they have to be moved. The homes cost around $10,000 each to build, and the first three were mostly paid for with donations through GoFundMe.

They’re tiny, but they’re fully functional. Each home has electricity, heat, and running water, along with a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide alarm. They’re not meant to be permanent, but they’re a great temporary solution for those sleeping on the street. And yes, that means the sight of someone biking their house to a new location is going to become more common in Ontario.
