UPDATE: Standoff linked to attempted GR bank robbery; 1 in custody | WOODTV.com
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids Police and the FBI ask anyone with information about the attempted holdup of the Bloom Credit Union on Monday morning to contact them.
It happened around 10 a.m. Monday at the branch on Plainfield Avenue north of Leonard Street. The GRPD says the bandit did not get any loot. Details about the incident had not been released by police at the time of this report. Detectives are still searching for him.
An unrelated robbery happened seven days prior in Sand Lake. Police arrested two Mecosta County brothers in connection with the robbery of the Independent Bank there. They were arraigned late last week.
