…ICING ON ELEVATED SURFACES POSSIBLE EACH MORNING WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…
...FREEZE WARNING AND COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM THROUGH 9 AM TUESDAY...
Icing will be possible on elevated surfaces (Bridges, Trees, Overpasses, Signs, etc.) this week as temperatures are expected to be around or slightly below freezing each morning across the Brush Country, Inland Coastal Plains, and Victoria Crossroads. Icing potential due to the freezing of wet surfaces will be low beginning Tuesday morning, mainly in the southern portions of the region. Rain chances increase Wednesday which will increase the chance of icing Wednesday night into Thursday morning as well as Thursday night into Friday morning. We are expecting freezing temperatures at least through Sunday morning with the coldest nights being Monday night into Tuesday morning and Friday night into Saturday morning. Lows during these nights will be in the 20s across the northern areas and 30s to the south extending to the coast. We are also expecting wind chills across the area to be as low as 20° through Saturday morning with some teens possible in some spots. We have issued a Freeze Warning and a Cold Weather Advisory for the Brush Country, Inland Coastal Plains, and Victoria Crossroads from 3AM to 9AM Tuesday morning. There will be a possibility for this to be extended/reissued, therefore we will continue to monitor the potential need for an update.
