Jane's Addiction Recording New Music Without Perry Farrell
Jane’s Addiction is recording new music…well, at least most of the band is. Bassist Eric Avery, drummer Stephen Perkins, and guitarist Dave Navarro are working on new music together without singer Perry Farrell. Avery posted a video on Instagram showing him at work laying down bass tracks for the new music, and fans are excited. The band canceled its remaining tour dates last year after Farrell got into an altercation onstage with Navarro during a show. After the event, the three musicians posted a joint statement saying the cancellation of the tour was part of a “continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell.”

Robert Smith Hints Another Cure Album Is On The Way
The Cure released their first album in 16 years in 2024, hitting number one on the UK charts and number four on the US Billboard 200 Chart, and that may have motivated them to do more. According to Robert Smith, the band is set to release another new album before summer, which will also include a few songs that were cut from “Songs Of A Lost World.” Smith says the band recorded 24 songs in 2019, and only eight of those were on the last album. He says he’s currently mixing the currently-unnamed new album, which will have around 10 songs on it.
