FRESNO, Calif. - Eight Fresno State Football players earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognitions for the 2024 season. Seniors Kosi Agina, Jake Boust, Dean Clark, Jahzon Jacks, Malachi Langley, Tyler Mello, Tuasivi Nomura and Osmar Velez were represented on the All-District team, announced by the CSC on Tuesday.
Clark and Mello repeat as back-to-back All-District selections. Fresno State has had eight picks for the second-straight season.
Of the eight selections, Clark and Nomura were named All-America finalists for their consistent performance on the field and in the classroom, and advanced to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 28, 2025.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.
Each student-athlete selected to the All-District team is at least a sophomore academically and athletically, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Student-athletes selected must also be a consistent contributor on the field, having competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or started in at least 66 percent of the games.
