Baltimore Schools Announce Additional Closures on Wednesday, 1/8

As the winter storm continues to impact the Baltimore area, several school districts have announced closures for Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, predicting heavy snowfall and dangerously cold temperatures. Here’s a detailed look at the school closures across the region:

Baltimore City: Baltimore City Public Schools will be closed. This closure affects all schools and offices, and all activities, field trips, and programs in schools and on school grounds, including athletic practices and events, are canceled

Baltimore County: Baltimore County Public Schools will also be closed. This includes the closure of all school buildings and offices, and the cancellation of all activities on school grounds, including extracurricular activities, athletic practices, and adult education classes

Anne Arundel County: Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be closed. All schools and offices are closed, and all activities, programs, and sports on school grounds are canceled

Howard County: Howard County Public Schools will be closed. The closure includes all schools and administrative offices, and all activities on school grounds are canceled

Harford County: Harford County Public Schools will be closed. All schools and offices are closed, and all activities, programs, and sports on school grounds are canceled

Carroll County: Carroll County Public Schools will be closed. This includes the closure of all school buildings and offices, and the cancellation of all activities on school grounds

Cecil County: Cecil County Public Schools will be closed. All schools and offices are closed, and all activities, programs, and sports on school grounds are canceled
