Ready or not, a new generation is here. Kids born between 2025 and 2039 are part of Generation Beta and new research gives us a look at some predictions for what they’ll experience in their lifetime.
A new report from Prudential, an insurance and investment company, reveals the results of a survey of more than 2-thousand U.S. adults. Their thoughts on Gen Beta’s prospects include:
- Half of respondents believe cancer will be cured by Gen Beta.
- More than two-thirds (71%) think Gen Beta will have access to individualized health care based on their DNA.
- Another 59% believe AI will be able to predict and prevent health issues before symptoms even start.
- Gen Beta will have jobs that haven’t even been invented yet, according to 86% of those polled.
- Two-thirds (68%) believe this generation will have more pets than kids and 86% say the nuclear family will not be the most common type of family in the future.
- Six in 10 think the government will actually stop printing cash because Gen Beta won’t use it.
- When it comes to technology, 71% of prospective Gen Beta parents predict AI will replace teachers.
- Nearly half (46%) think space will be the most popular vacation destination.
- While 58% say technology will make life better, 66% believe families will grow more distant.
- Close to half of respondents don’t think Gen Beta will ever retire in the future, considering the estimate that they’ll need $1.88-million to retire.
- That leads 80% of those surveyed to say parents of Gen Beta should start saving for their kids’ retirement at birth.
