Figures from the state DOT's Crash Data Portal shows there were 13 people killed in wrecks on the Cape in 2024.
That's not good news for the Cape Cod Commission, which has working on its Vision Zero Action Plan for months in an effort to bring traffic fatalities down to zero.
To make Cape roads safer, the panel is considering the types of crashes and their root causes, where signals, infrastructure and overall use come into play.
The commission's final plan is expected to be unveiled in April.
