Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill says she wants a preliminary report on the terror attack ready to present to the legislature by mid-April.
State lawmakers return to Baton Rouge on April 14.
Murrill says the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation will complete a more in-depth report over the next few months.
She said on Tuesday the report will consider what permanent changes may need to be made to protect the security of New Orleans.
