Do you live in one of America's best cities to call home? What makes a place a good spot to live differs for everyone. Some prefer the peace and quiet of life in a small town while others would rather have the buzzing of a big city bustling around their everyday lives. Whatever the reason, there is the perfect community for everyone looking for a place to settle down.
U.S. News & World Report compiled a list of 150 of the best places to live in the U.S. for 2024-2025, ranking cities on factors like having a quality of life or good value. Among the list are six cities right here in Ohio:
- No. 61: Columbus
- No. 98: Toledo
- No. 100: Cincinnati
- No. 101: Dayton
- No. 132: Youngstown
- No. 141: Cleveland
This is what U.S. News had to say about its methodology for determining the list of the best places to live in America:
"Cities in the rankings are evaluated using data from sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. News' own internal resources. This data was categorized into four indexes [quality of life, value, desirability and job market] and evaluated using a methodology determined by Americans' preferences. The percent weighting for each index follows the answers from a February 2024 public survey in which people from across the country voted for what they believed was the most important factor to consider when choosing where to live."
