Police in Saskatchewan, Canada released a list of absurd reasons residents dialed 911 in 2024. The Saskatchewan RCMP posted a video on Facebook outlining the top 10 most unusual calls, which included: not recognizing someone on their friend list on social media; scaring a local cat; needing help unlocking a phone; and help with a math problem. “Whether you’re frustrated with your washing machine, trying to unlock your phone or suspicious of a fox — calling 911 must be reserved for emergencies and crimes in progress,” the RCMP said
