Portland (14-23) used a 12-4 run to take a double-digit lead at 28-18 late first quarter and would lead by eight-points heading into the second. The Trail Blazers once again built a 10-point lead late in the first half and would take a 58-53 lead into the locker room. The Trail Blazers connected on 10-of-18 from beyond-the-arc in the first half.
After Dallas had pulled to within two in the third, Portland used a 13-2 run to push their lead back to double-digits and would take an 89-81 lead into the fourth.
The Mavericks pulled to within four at 103-99, but back-to-back threes from the Trail Blazers would push Portland's lead back to 10-points with 4:33 to play.
Dallas (22-16) would respond with a 13-0 run to take a 112-109 lead with 2:26 to play after a three-pointer from PJ Washington.
The Mavericks finished the game on an 18-2 run to secure the win. The Trail Blazers missed five of their final six shots from the floor.
