Prince William showered his wife, Kate Middleton, with adoration in an emotional birthday tribute on Thursday (January 9), sharing a never-before-seen photo of the beloved royal.
The Prince of Wales took to Instagram to let the world know how inspired he is by Middleton's strength, and how much their entire family loves her.
"To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you."
The "we" to which Prince William referred was likely the entire royal family, but specifically their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Middleton, now 43, announced that she had been diagnosed with abdominal cancer in March following a surgery earlier that year. The mother-of-three has since been very open regarding her progress and blessings she holds close to her heart. In September, the Princess of Wales revealed that she'd completed her chemotherapy treatments, but has yet to offer an update on the presence of the condition as she proceeds with royal duties.
