With multiple wildfires ravenging around Los Angeles, we at iHeart Sacramento wanted to share some resources to help those in Southern California recover during this devastating time. The fires have scorched 45 square miles around Los Angeles and first broke out amid high winds earlier this week. 5 people have been killed and 1,300 structures have burned with 60,000 more structures threatened. The two largest blazes - the Palisades and Eaton fires - have zero containment as of Thursday morning according to Cal Fire. In total, more than 28,800 acres have burned. To check the latest on fire location and containment, check the Cal Fire incidents map here.

Nationally, a Wildfire Relief Fund 2025 has been started on GoFundMe.

The Red Cross is also fundraising for wildfire support. You can donate to the Red Cross here or by calling 800-733-2767 or texting REDCROSS to 90999.

The Pasadena Humane Society is taking in animals and providing emergency care around the LA area during the wildfire evacuations.

A Wildfire Relief Fund has been started by the California Community Foundation.

iHeart LA is partnering with The Dream Center to offer immediate and long-term support and resources to those in the community affected by the devastating fires, collecting and distributing essential disaster relief supplies. The Dream Center is currently providing shelter for thousands of displaced families, and iHeart’s collaboration will ensure that the most critical and needed resources reach those in need quickly.

Donations can also be made to the SAVE (Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency) program of the California Fire Foundation, which provides immediate, short-term financial aid to victims of wildfires, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

The Los Angeles Fire Department foundation is fundraising money for emergency fire shelters, hydration backpacks and wildland brush tools.
