The transition team of East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards is taking shape.
On Thursday, Edwards announced a list of 30 local business leaders, politicians, and former colleagues from his time as Istrouma High School's football coach.
The transition team will advise Edwards on policy and staffing for the local government.
The focus will be on healthcare, economic development, government efficiency, education, infrastructure, and city blight, among other issues.
Edwards was sworn in as mayor last week.
