Have you ever been to a city so eclectic that you're left with a list of questions but in the best way?
What is that sculpture supposed to represent?
Who drew that interesting photo that looks like a real-life Rorschach test?
Who designed the light installation that makes the town square look like a disco at night?
And how about the unique seats in the coffee shop down the winding brick road that look more like a chairlift at a ski lodge than seating accommodations at a café?
Be it any of the previously mentioned attributes or something so totally out of the ordinary that your experience there is unforgettable, there is one city in each state known for being the strangest and quirkiest around.
According to Reader's Digest, the quirkiest city in all of California is Venice Beach. This city is known for its world-famous boardwalk and quirky scene.
Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about the weirdest place in the entire state:
"Let’s be honest, there are hundreds of places in California that can be described as quirky: Hollywood, San Francisco, Laguna Beach, and more. But no one will deny Venice Beach tops the list. Venice Beach is home to a world-famous boardwalk dominated by skateboarders, graffiti artists, and performers, and nothing is too strange for this locale."
