Sunday Drivers Lose Control of Vehicles In Harris County

One person was taken to a hospital following a Southeast Houston accident Sunday afternoon in which a car drove into an apartment building, one of two similar crashes on the same day in Harris County.

Police say there were six people in the building when the car slid off the street and into the apartment in the 7900 block of Belfort near Stone Street.

The driver of the car told officers he may have just lost control of the car because streets were slippery.

Another vehicle hit a building on Sunday, this time on the north side of Harris County in the Spring area.

Investigators say it's unclear what caused the man to drive into the building housing the Cypresswood Animal Clinic on Aldine Westfield near the Hardy Toll Road.

The car ended up flipping on it's side but there were no reports of serious injuries.
