SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) -- A Dane County Sheriff's deputy found a body believed to be a missing woman from Sun Prairie in a field on Tuesday.
According to a news release from the Sun Prairie Police Department, the body matches the description of Ingrid Isamar Valverde-Ponce, 27.
Her family reported her missing on Sunday. She was last seen on Saturday leaving a gathering on West Klubertanz Drive in Sun Prairie. She got in a dark-colored SUV.
The body was located on Tuesday around 2:30 p.m. on a farm in the area of Portage Road and Highway 19. It matches Valverde-Ponce's description, but the Dane County Medical Examiner will give the official confirmation following an autopsy.
"Our thoughts are with Ingrid’s family, loved ones, and the community during this incredibly difficult time," Sun Prairie police said in their news release.
The man who was last known to be with Valverde-Ponce, Gerson Blas Noe, is in police custody. He was arrested for providing false information during their investigation and is being held in the Dane County Jail. Blas Noe has not been formally charged.
