Ellen DeGeneres recently returned to the U.S for the first time since her big move to England in 2024, and debuted a brand new hairstyle.
According to E!News, the former talk show host paid a visit to Montecito, California, on Tuesday (January 14), where she and wife Portia de Rossi "sold off multiple homes last year," and fans could barely recognize her.
DeGeneres was seen in familiar attire, but with grey hair instead of her usual bright blonde.
Last July, DeGeneres told audience members present at a comedy show in Santa Rosa that this was "the last time" they would ever see her. Not long after, she and Portia packed up their belongings and allegedly moved to the English countryside.
Then, in November, singer Natalie Imbruglia shared a video of a pub night northeast of London with a group of friends, including Ellen and Portia, who were enjoying drinks. The former comedian looked to be sporting darker hair in the clip, similar to the style she recently debuted in Montecito.
In a 2019 episode of The Ellen Show, DeGeneres commented on the ever-changing tone of her hair, revealing that it grows fast, so she has to color it often.
"When you have short hair, you have to color it often, 'cause my hair grows really fast. I'm constantly coloring it, so it always looks different when you watch the show. Some days it's a different tone."
