Lil Baby has a lot in store for 2025. He's already preparing to drop another solo LP and is currently working on a collaborative project with Young Thug and Future.

On Wednesday, January 15, Complex debuted its brand-new cover story featuring the Atlanta native. Deep within the story, Lil Baby opened up about reuniting with Thugger in the studio a little over a week after he was released from jail. Baby also recalled the massive amount of music they made together.

"We've been in the studio together [every day] almost since he came home. So we got tons of songs," Wham said.

"Just that one on WHAM, though," he continued. "I could have done more. I ain't want to OD it anyway. I'm the first person to have a Young Thug verse since he’s been out. So I didn’t want to just overdo him anyway. I wasn't even going to put this song on [the album] because we’re working on something else."

Lil Baby also revealed that he and Future had been in the studio working on a joint album before Young Thug was released. The "Say Twin" rapper said the collaborative project was actually Thug's idea and described how he encouraged both artists to make the album while he was in jail. Now that Young Thug is home, Baby said his joint album with Future will most likely become a collaborative project involving all three artists.

"Me and Future were also going to drop a project, but it was Thug’s idea," Baby explained. "The whole time while he’s locked up, I'm talking to him and trying to talk about the trial. He’s like, 'You need to get with Pluto and drop the tape with Pluto.' I'm trying to talk about the trial. He ain't even tripping. He’s like, 'Bro, go to Miami. You need to lock in with Pluto, y'all need to drop an album. Do that for me.'"

"There probably won’t be a me and Future tape anymore because Thug is back," he continued. "So whatever it would be, it'll be all three of us. [And that’s] super exciting, because to me, those are two of the main people that I would say I look up to in the rap game. So to be able to spar with them, I feel like that's sharpened me up a whole lot."

There's no word on when the collaborative album will arrive. At the moment, Lil Baby is focused on dropping his follow-up to WHAM. He plans to drop his second album of the year, Dominique, at the end of February.
