Miami-Dade, FL - A dispute over a golf cart repair in southwest Miami-Dade escalated into violence, leaving one man shot and severely beaten.

According to police, the incident occurred on January 9 in the 23800 block of Southwest 167th Avenue when the victim arrived at a property to deliver golf cart parts.

An argument over money broke out between the victim and one of the suspects.

During the heated exchange, one suspect allegedly shot the victim in the leg.

Both suspects then attacked the victim, beating him until he lost consciousness, police reports state.

When the victim regained consciousness, he reported that the property’s front gate had been locked, preventing him from leaving to seek medical attention.

One suspect later drove the victim to his vehicle but threatened him not to contact law enforcement.

One suspect is facing charges of attempted felony murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.

The second suspect has been charged with aggravated battery and false imprisonment.

Both suspects appeared in court on Thursday.

One was granted a $7,500 bond and ordered to stay away from the victim, while the other remains in custody without bond.
