Walgreens is closing five stores in Chicago next month as part of its strategy to revitalize its struggling business. Last October, the drugstore chain announced that it would be closing 1,200 stores in the United States over three years.
Chicago Walgreens locations expected to close between Feb. 17 and Feb. 27 include:
- 7111 S. Western Avenue (Chicago Lawn)
- 4005 W. 26th Street (Little Village)
- 9148 S. Commerical Avenue (South Chicago)
- 3405 S. King Drive (Grand Boulevard)
- 7109 S. Jeffrey Boulevard (South Shore)
