The Kent County Road Commission is not expecting most roads to be significantly better until Thursday and they are asking drivers for patience.
The coldest weather in West Michigan in several years is making road clearing harder than normal.
KCRC director of maintenance and local road construction Steve Roon says we will continue to have roads that are snow covered due to blowing snow.
Crews have been focusing on main highways like US-131 and I-96 as well as busier roads.
Crew have attempted to clear the bulk of the snow away and lay sand or brine to help with traction as salt doesn't work when it is this cold.
