*LIST* The Top 10 Most Hackable Passwords In The U.S.

We’ve all heard how important it is to use a secure password, but it turns out, most of us don’t listen or don’t care. And new research suggests your password is probably easier to hack than you realize. A new report from software company anyIP reveals the most commonly used passwords that can be easily hacked.

  • To come up with the list, anyIP used NordPass list of the 200 worst passwords worldwide, then analyzed how often specific passwords were used in hacking attempts.
  • Overall, “password” is the most commonly used password in the world, making it the most hackable.
  • Next up is “qwerty123,” followed by “querty1” on the global list.
  • The list of passwords most at risk of being hacked here in the U.S. is a little different, with “secret” landing at number one and taking less than one second to crack.

“Hackers are increasingly using sophisticated tools to breach accounts in seconds, and relying on weak passwords is akin to leaving your front door unlocked,” explains anyIP co-founder Khaled Bentoumi. “These findings highlight the alarming prevalence of predictable and easily hackable passwords.”

Scott's Thoughts:

  • If your password is on this list, it’s probably time to change it!
  • Wonder if "Catballs 24-7" is still a good password?
  • I feel like you would have to be a real dummy to use these.
