U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy says he'll vote to confirm South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to serve as the Secretary of Homeland Security.
The Louisiana Republican made the announcement on Wednesday.
Dr. Cassidy said he believes Gov. Noem will prioritize border security and protecting Americans from terrorist attacks like the one in New Orleans on New Year's Day.
